The Network
of Conservation Educators and Practitioners (NCEP)
is a global project to improve the practice of biodiversity conservation
by improving training in biodiversity conservation. NCEP targets educators
working with undergraduate and graduate students, and trainers working
with conservation professionals in a variety of settings. NCEP seeks
to:
• connect those involved in doing and teaching biodiversity conservation;
• create and make widely available a variety of resources to teach biodiversity conservation;
• develop networks and resource centers to increase mentoring and training opportunities in biodiversity conservation worldwide.

On the following
pages, you’ll find more information about where
we work, our student-active multi-component educational
modules for teachers of biodiversity conservation, and details on our workshops
and training events. In
the past year, we have completed an initial set of core modules
in English, French, Lao and Spanish, and run workshops and
training events in Bolivia, Lao PDR, Madagascar, Mexico, the
United States and Vietnam. We are looking for additional educators
and trainers to test and evaluate
our modules, and we are always interested in new collaborations
and linkages. So take a look around, register
for full access to modules, and contact
us for more information or to let us know what you think!
