Inspired by the 2012 book Natural Histories: Extraordinary Rare Book Selections from the American Museum of Natural History Library, this exhibition will include reproductions from more than 20 rare and beautifully illustrated scientific works, dating from the 16th to the early 20th century.

Visit the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, which encompasses over 9,000 acres of woods and wetlands all within New York City. A prime birding spot, over 325 species have been recorded at the Wildlife Refuge including the glossy ibis, osprey, tern, laughing gull, oystercatcher, and many more that breed in the area during the summer months.

Behold majestic views of several national parks through the lens of our signature dioramas, and recreate what you see in sketches and modeling clay with guidance from Museum artists.
