Astronomical Phenomena Revealed with Jackie Faherty
Tuesday, May 28
What types of astronomical phenomena are observable from Earth? In this program, Museum research scientist Jackie Faherty uses the power of the Dome’s Zeiss IX Projector and the Museum’s Digital Universe Atlas to simulate numerous exciting celestial phenomena. From transits of the inner planets, to partial and total solar and lunar eclipses, she will simulate events you should expect and when you can expect to see them.
