Conservation Biology is the field that seeks to use scientific knowledge to study and protect the living world and its biological diversity. The threats to biodiversity are all too real and all of them are linked directly or indirectly to human activity. Students in this course will learn about the fundamental concepts of conservation biology, the threats to biodiversity as well as conservation methods and tools. They will then be able to apply and integrate these ideas for analyzing real world problems and suggesting alternatives for solving those problems.
