Enjoy cocktails, cutting-edge science, and conversation at this popular after-hours series, which takes place on the first Wednesday of every month.

Join MIT professor Angela Belcher for a discussion of what it’s like to work at the intersection of biology, engineering, nanotechnology, and materials science. Belcher uses materials in nature to design smarter technologies, including solar cells and batteries. She’ll share her research on how to build new materials for applications in clean energy, electronics, the environment, and medicine.

Angela Belcher is the W. M. Keck Professor of Energy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In the past decade, she has received a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship and was named “Research Leader of the Year” by Scientific American.
