Want to take a stroll on Mars? How about an afternoon flight to Europa, a moon of Jupiter? In this unique program, learn to navigate our solar system, galaxy, and beyond using Digital Universe, the Museum’s cutting-edge, three-dimensional, scientifically accurate map of the cosmos. Using advanced gaming laptops and the Hayden Planetarium, students will have the incredible opportunity to create their own “Space Show.”
Digital Universe Flight School also provides students with a chance to learn from the Museum’s considerable space- science resources and to meet scientists doing advanced research in astrophysics as well as Earth and planetary sciences. In addition, students will learn about the Museum’s high school internships and research opportunities.
The Museum’s Youth Initiatives are generously supported through the leadership contribution of the New York Life Foundation.
