ONLINE WEBINAR ABOUT AMNH MAT PROGRAM
Attention Earth science grads:
Change lives. Teach science. That is the call of action for the Museum’s new Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program, the first urban teacher residency program offered by a museum.
On Wednesday, January 16, from 6 - 7:30 p.m., we invite you to an online Open House to meet faculty and staff, find out more about how our pioneering MAT program is structured, and ask questions about our unique program. Prospective students and others interested in learning more about this program are welcome.
The MAT program is a full-time, paid Master’s program with science and pedagogy coursework and real-world teaching experience. We seek a student body with diverse life and career experiences, such as recent college graduates, veterans, former participants in volunteer corps, and career changers. The program is open to college graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Earth science or a related discipline or any bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 24 credits in Earth science plus 6 additional credits in physics, chemistry, environmental science, or biology.
Guests will have the opportunity to hear from program faculty and staff, have questions answered, and go on a behind-the-scenes tour of Museum facilities.
Join the MAT mailing list to receive updates.
