CANCELED - Museum ornithologist Paul Sweet will lead a Member nature excursion to Oyster Bay, one of Theodore Roosevelt's beloved bird-watching sites. The trip will include visits to the grounds at Roosevelt's home at Sagamore Hill and a walk to nearby Cold Springs Harbor; a visit to Theodore Roosevelt's gravesite at Youngs Memorial Cemetery; and a visit to the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center, which was established in 1923 as the first Audubon Songbird Sanctuary in the nation. At the Audubon Center we will enjoy a Live Raptor presentation in addition to exploring the grounds.
*Note: The interior of the Sagamore Hill home is closed for construction, but the tour includes a visit to the on-site museum, as well as a tour of the grounds and farms.
