SciChat: Coyotes in the Big Apple

Saturday, May 20, 2017

Coyote stands amongst the trees in Central Park.

When you hear about coyotes in New York City, do you find yourself asking questions like what do they eat? Or, where do they live?

Coyotes are resilient creatures that have settled quite comfortably into the wilder areas of New York City.

Come learn where these clever local canines live, what they eat, and how they coexist with humans in a short talk by Museum conservation biologist Mark Weckel, Ph.D.

*Free event with refreshments provided

SciChats are free hangouts open to all 10-13 year-olds accompanied by a guardian. This is a chance to socialize, eat, and hang out with scientists and other curious kids.

Some activities may not be suited for younger children.
