Teen Programs: Paying for College–Information Session

Saturday, January 7, 2017

Three teenagers sit on a low stone wall on a grassy campus and compare paper handouts with each other.

Once the applications are all submitted, parents and students are still faced with the daunting task of paying for college!

FAFSA, CSS/PROFILE, TAP... there are many things that can feel confusing.

This information session will provide a comprehensive overview of what you need to do to be considered for financial aid, the types of programs available, and how families can tackle paying for college, including:

–When and how to apply for loans, scholarships, and work study
–How to determine which options best suit their needs
–How eligibility is determined and understanding the fine print

*Free admission

This event is offered by the NYC Science Research Mentoring Consortium, with the generous support of The Pinkerton Foundation.
