Winter Lunchtime Bird Walks in Central Park

Four Tuesdays February 2–February 23, 2016

Long-eared Owl for Sweet Winter Bird Walk

Observe owls, hawks, and woodpeckers in the woods, finches and sparrows in the fields, and ducks and gulls in the lakes as ornithologist Paul Sweet guides you through Central Park to observe the varied bird species that make New York City their winter home.

Be sure to bring a pair of binoculars and wear comfortable shoes. Please note, this walk is over an hour long with steps, slopes, and wood-chip paths. Walks start across from the Museum on the northeast corner of Central Park West and 77th Street. Walks are limited to 25 people per series. For more information, call the AMNH Bird Walk Hotline at 212-313-7579.
