PLANT ECOLOGY

Go beyond the basics of field study—use math and science skills and dig in the dirt! Students learn how to count plants as part of a study of local biodiversity; they'll also learn techniques for analyzing that data, including percentage cover, comparing and transcribing data, and calculating biodiversity indexes and frequency rates. Students will master these sophisticated math skills as they practice the real-world application of research in the field.
