Pieces of amber containing a menagerie of organisms provide snapshots of a cross section of the ancient forest community. This particular piece contains a small menagerie of 217 insects, spiders, and plants. The "spray" of tiny insects is Collembola, or springtails. The flowers and stems are from an acacia plant.
