Inspired By Nature: Creative Writing With Hannah Tinti

Five Tuesdays, February 5 through March 5

This five-session creative writing class at the Museum, taught by Hannah Tinti, will focus on the natural world, with each session held in a different gallery. We will read excerpts from Theodore Roosevelt’s notebooks and those of other great nature writers, and draw on the exhibits for on-site writing exercises and prompts. Grounding each student in the basics of nature writing, the instructor will also provide tips on description, structure, research, setting, and theme to complete their own writing projects. This class is open to beginners, as well as any writer looking to take their work to the next level.
