ROTIFERS

"In a microscope, the tiny rotifers look like they have a wheel attached to their front ends. The wheel is actually a little circle of filaments, and it is used to enable the animals to swim and to feed. The beautiful glass model specimens you see were actually crafted by artists working at the American Museum of Natural History in the 1930s."
