On Wednesday, January 30, join us for a delectable evening in Our Global Kitchen!
Take a journey around the world and through time as you explore the exhibition and discover the many ways we grow, transport, cook, eat, and celebrate food. Meet the exhibition curators and take part in a range of activities that highlight one food with a fascinating history: chocolate.
In Our Global Kitchen, visit an Aztec marketplace, where cacao beans were used as currency and chocolate drinks were flavored with chili peppers, corn meal, or flowers. You’ll also have an opportunity to:
Once you’ve had your fill, Whole Food’s local forager Elly Truesdell will also be on hand to share which foods can be found growing in New York City.

Where and When
The Our Global Kitchen Tweetup will be held at the American Museum of Natural History on Wednesday, January 30 at 6 pm. It is a free event.
Before You Visit
Your photo could be featured in the exhibition! Share your stories and pictures about memorable meals and gatherings: simply post your photo on Instagram with hashtag #CelebrateFood by Wednesday, January 23, and include a brief caption. Be creative—and feel free to embellish your photo with words about what made the meal so special. You may see your photo at the tweetup.
