• This two-page printable handout is designed to be completed during a visit to the Museum's Field Trip to the Moon dome show. A series of three activities help students further explore the Moon and human space exploration.

  • Explore a Moon Model—Students examine the bronze model of the Moon, comparing its surface to the Earth's
  • Examine a Moon Rock—Students study a lunar rock and basalt to learn more about how the Moon was formed
  • Observe an Ecosphere—Students examine a self-sustaining ecosphere to understand what scientists need to do to live on the Moon
