Stargazing, first kisses, and no cell phones—these are the things we remember from summer camp. But what about camp for grown-ups? In Marble Falls, Texas, a four-day retreat seeks to fill this void, offering a full-blown sleepaway experience for 150 tech-savvy adults seeking to relive some of the magic of their youth. Camp Grounded is a bold and silly experiment, encouraging campers to search for identity beyond the usual confines of age, occupation, and technology.

This screening is part of the Emerging Visual Anthropologists Showcase and will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and Dr. Faye Ginsburg, director of the New York University Program in Culture & Media and documentary professor, Dr. Pegi Vail.
