John Denton: Illuminating the History of Lanternfishes

On September 30, 2013, the first graduates of the Richard Gilder Graduate School will receive Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Comparative Biology at the inaugural commencement for the program. We're profiling the newly minted Ph.D.s., including John Denton, an ichthyologist who studied the evolution and diversification of lanternfishes for his dissertation, using a combination of DNA sequences and recently developed analytical methods.
