Thanksgiving Weekend at the Museum: Origami Holiday Tree, Power of Poison, Live Butterflies, and More
Need a refresher course on comets? Here are seven things to know about these exciting but enigmatic Sun-orbiting space objects.
This year's Origami Holiday Tree is now lighting up the Grand Gallery, on the Museum's first floor. Decked with 800 hand-folded paper models, the tree's theme this year is "Wicked, Wild, and Wonderful," inspired by the new exhibition The Power of Poison. Museum icons, including dinosaurs of many kinds, also grace the tree.
The weekend weather may be blustery, but inside the Museum it's warm and dry—and there are multiple exhibitions open, plus Dark Universe, our new Space Show.
