Taste Gingerbread and More at Our Global Kitchen Exhibition

This holiday week and next, learn more about how to make gingerbread houses at the working kitchen in the Museum's new exhibition, Our Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture.

The kitchen features daily samplings (Monday to Friday, 12:30 to 5:30 pm and Saturday to Sunday,10 am to 5:30 pm), as well as taste tests and demonstrations of cooking methods.

Guest demonstrators at the kitchen include local farmers and chefs, and the kitchen themes will change every two weeks.

December 20 through December 31: Gingerbread and holiday foods

Hansel and Gretel Gingerbread House

In some versions of the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel, the witch's house is made from gingerbread.

Week of January 2: Healthy Eating for Adults

Week of January 14: Healthy Eating for Kids

Week of January 28: Chocolate
