Origami: Fold a Jumping Frog in 13 Easy Steps

On Exhibit posts

For more than 40 years, origami has been a tradition at the Museum, where the nonprofit OrigamiUSA offers classes and volunteer opportunities for budding paper folders.

In this video, an OrigamiUSA volunteer shows you how to make a jumping frog model in 13 easy steps. (All you need to start is a rectangular piece of paper, like an index card.) And don't forget: this year's Origami Holiday Tree will be on display starting next Monday, November 25.

The theme of this year's Origami Holiday Tree is "Wicked, Wild, and Wonderful," inspired by the Museum's new exhibition The Power of Poison. The tree will be on display in the Museum's first-floor Grand Gallery through Sunday, January 12, 2014.
