Frontiers Lecture: A Decade at Saturn with Carolyn Porco

Frontiers: A Decade at Saturn Thumb

For seven years, the Cassini spacecraft traveled to Saturn, entering into orbit in the summer of 2004. The subsequent landing of the Huygens probe and its decade of exploration of the Saturnian environment have become the stuff of legend. In this lecture, Cassini Imaging Team Leader Carolyn Porco discusses the resulting insights into the nature of this very remote planetary system.

This lecture took place at the Hayden Planetarium on October 20th, 2014, and was hosted by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium.
