On December 15, 2011, NOAA and AMNH Science Bulletins will host a one-hour online educational seminar about this data visualization. The webinar will feature Dr. Michael Behrenfeld, oceanographer and professor in the botany and plant pathology department at Oregon State University and Dr. Ned Gardiner, ecologist and data visualization specialist with the NOAA Climate Program Office. Drs. Gardiner and Behrenfeld will brief participants and answer questions about how plant growth in the biosphere is linked to global carbon and climate, and how satellite data are used to understand these processes. They will also offer strategies for interpreting the visualization to audiences. Register here.
