Classroom Activity

In Tapping In: The Promise of Brain-Computer Interface, scientists at Albany Medical Center and the Wadsworth Center at the New York State Department of Health are developing the next-generation brain-computer interface, or BCI.

This feature can be used to illustrate the process of science. It shows neuroscientists testing cutting-edge technologies that enable people with severe disabilities to communicate directly through their brain waves. (Read more about The Scientific Process.)

This Classroom Discussion Activity can be used to connect your students to the process of science, highlight overarching scientific themes, and enhance comprehension of the story.
