Hayden Planetarium Programs
Special Event: Winter Solstice Telescope Party
December 19, 2013
Join Hayden astronomers Steve Beyer, Christina Pease, and Ted Williams and members of the Amateur Astronomers Association for the final night of the fall. They'll provide details on how to observe the night sky and provide a “sneak preview” of what it will look like from inside Hayden's world-famous Space Theater, utilizing its state-of-the-art Zeiss IX planetarium projector. Then, weather permitting, we’ll head outside to the Ross Terrace to observe celestial objects.
Participants are welcome to bring their own binoculars and telescopes.
Support for Hayden Planetarium Programs is provided by the Schaffner Family.
