Celebrate National Parks! The Naturalist
June 29, 2016
Darrin Lunde, collection manager at the National Museum of Natural History, presents the story of Theodore Roosevelt and how his lifelong passion for the natural world set the stage for America’s wildlife conservation movement. Drawing on Roosevelt’s diaries and expedition journals, along with Lunde’s own experience as a museum naturalist, he will discuss Roosevelt’s life and legacy as a champion of scientific inquiry and wilderness.
A book signing will follow the event.
