How is climate change shifting the habitats of wild species? And how can conservation measures keep up with animals as they move their ranges?

Join us for a live, online educational seminar on September, September 25 from 3–4 PM EST, hosted by the American Museum of Natural History’s Science Bulletins program and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The webinar will launch a new data visualization about protecting wildlife in a warming world, designed for informal education at museums and science centers. The visualization’s datasets will also be made available for live programming on NOAA’s Science on a Sphere (SOS)® spherical display system.

The webinar will feature the visualization’s scientific advisors:

• Dr. Ned Gardiner, data visualization specialist with the NOAA Climate Program Office
• Dr. Healy Hamilton, biodiversity scientist with the Worldviews Network

Drs. Gardiner and Hamilton will brief participants and answer questions about the connections between climate and wildlife, how computer modeling is enabling scientists to anticipate habitat changes, and conservation strategies that could help species adapt in a warming world. The webinar will also offer tips for interpreting the visualization for audiences.
