Making Science Matter: Collaborations between Informal Science Education Organizations and Schools


This report is the result of work by the Center for Advancement of Informal Science Education (CAISE) Formal/Informal Inquiry Group, which was constituted in 2008 to explore relationships between formal and informal settings in science education. It summarizes relevant theory, profiles effective programs, and describes the affordances and strengths of different types of institutions.
