July 22, 2013 - August 2, 2013

Did you know that we share our planet with over 5 million species? And did you know that at the American Museum of Natural History, scientists use their knowledge of evolution to identify endangered jaguars in Belize, track global illegal wildlife hunting, and monitor the spread of viruses such as H1N1?

The Evolution Institute is a unique opportunity for you to explore the amazing diversity of life on our planet, making use of AMNH's considerable resources, including the fossil halls, genetics labs, and world-famous collections. You will meet innovative scientists who will expose you to cutting-edge careers in the biological sciences, and you'll take behind-the-scenes tours of our research departments. In addition, the Evolution Institute will provide you with valuable information about AMNH's high school internships and research opportunities.
