Adventures in Science
Twinkling Stars: Mythic Creatures in the Sky (Grades 1 and 2)
March 7, 2014 - March 14, 2014
You don’t have to go to the zoo to see lions, tigers, and bears! Learn how cultures around the world and through history have been spotting animal shapes in the stars, then head to the Hayden Planetarium to see the stars that inspired the stories. Make your own constellation model and discover the legends of the night sky!
Two Fridays: March 7 and 14
Time: 4:30–6:00 pm
Please Note: This caregiver-child workshop is structured to provide a unique opportunity for caregiver-child teams to experience science at the Museum and learn together. Each child must be accompanied by one adult. Only a registered child and his/her caregiver may attend with no additional guests.
