Me and My Earth: Conservation Science in Action (Grades 6-8)
March 25, 2013 - March 29, 2013
Are you ready to take the future of our planet’s health into your hands? Take a walk in Teddy Roosevelt’s boots by trekking through our urban environments, learning the data-gathering techniques and technologies conservation scientists use to explore endangered habitats, and designing an original conservation plan based on your week of fieldwork.
The Me and My Earth institute will make use of AMNH’s considerable biodiversity resources including the newly renovated Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Hall, genetics labs, and innovative scientists who will expose you to cutting edge careers in conservation science. In addition, you will learn valuable information about AMNH’s high school internships and research opportunities.
