Science Research Mentoring Program

SRMP - Life Sciences

Anthropology

Students interested in conducting research in Anthropology can qualify to apply to SRMP by taking three of the Science Research courses in the After School Program. Students should take at least one of the following:

  • Human Origins
  • Culture, Society and Language in the 21st Century

In addition to the above courses students must can choose from the following courses to fulfill the requirement of three Science Research courses:

  • Mechanisms of Evolution
  • Tree of Life
  • Comparative Genomics

Biodiversity and Systematics, Conservation Biology, Genetics and Genomics, and Evolution

Students interested in conducting research in the fields of Biodiversity and Systematics, Conservation Biology, Genetics and Genomics, and Evolution can qualify to apply to SRMP by taking a minimum of 3 of the following Science Research courses in the After School Program.

  • Mechanisms of Evolution
  • Tree of Life
  • Conservation Biology
  • Comparative Genomics

Research in the fields of Biodiversity and Systematics, Conservation Biology, Genetics and Genomics, and Evolution is conducted across multiple divisions and centers at the Museum.
