Professional Interests

As the Assistant Director of Youth Initiatives, Alix oversees and supports the management of AMNH’s out-of-school time science education programming for youth.  Prior to joining the Museum, Alix worked in science education, and environmental conservation and policy.  Most recently, teaching high school biology in the NYC public school system.  Alix is an avid traveler constantly seeking new adventures, whether SCUBA diving in the Red Sea, hiking in Tierra del Fuego, or riding her bicycle with Climate Ride from NYC to DC.
