Professional Interests

Marion Gaita Zachowski has over years of supervisory, managerial, teaching and professional development experience in New York City Public Schools.  Most recently, she served as Director of The Partnership of Teacher Excellence, a New York City Department of Education collaboration with City University of New York and NYU Steinhardt School to develop a teacher education model to recruit, develop and retain excellent secondary Mathematics and Science teachers.  Ms. Zachowski has also designed and implemented protocols for NYC DOE to collaborate with industry, informal science institutions and science laboratories to develop commencement-level science courses.
