Program Timeline
The 36-credit program involves three concurrent components: courses, residencies, and mentoring. In addition to a full academic year of residency in high-needs public schools, the program includes two additional AMNH-based clinical summer residencies.
Summer One (June – August)
Coursework at the Museum and online, in conjunction with the Museum Teaching Residency (Monday – Friday).
Academic Year (September – June)
School Residency in New York State public schools (Monday – Thursday) along with coursework at the Museum (every Friday and one weekend, Saturday – Sunday, per month).
Summer Two (July – August)
Museum Science Practicum Residency (Monday – Thursday).
