Roosevelt High School is a smaller learning community comprised of the Collegiate Academy. Teams of students within the community are taught by teachers who work together across disciplines to address new ways of teaching. Students are engaged in a rigorous course of study where they take college credit and advance placement courses. Personalization is the central theme in the student-centered academy at Roosevelt. Roosevelt services approximately 450 students in grades 11 and 12.
The Early College High School program provides academic rigor and the prospect for students to save time and money in attaining a college Associate’s Degree. In partnership with Westchester Community College, the Academy blends high school and college courses so that students can compress the time it takes to complete a high school diploma and the first two years of college. Serving both developmental and intellectual needs, the Academy prepares students to become cooperative team members, responsible citizens, effective communicators, proficient problem solvers and independent thinkers and workers. The Early College High School serves students in grades 9 and 10.
