Informal Science Education - Teachers College (MSTC 4852 / CRN 51395)
February 23, 2013 - March 31, 2013
Participants study the theory and practice of teaching natural and physical sciences (K-12) using informal, science-rich settings in this graduate course. The semester includes Museum lectures, focus study in exhibitions and online review of resources, written and reading assignments, and a field weekend at the American Museum of Natural History and the New York Hall of Science. During the semester, participants attend scientific lectures at AMNH and receive Museum memberships to facilitate access and continued study.
Informal Science Meets on Saturdays and Sundays. Feb.23-24 and Mar. 30-31 from 10am-5pm
