Zack Stockbridge

I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Physical Science (Geology, Astronomy, and Mathematics). After a few years working as a camp counselor and ski instructor, I met my future wife on the Appalachian Trail in 2003. We married in 2004. Not long after, I started settling down into a more normal teaching career. So far this has included, being a 4th grade teacher at a private Christian school while working on my Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Science, teaching science for four years at an Early College High School in NC, and five years as a community college science instructor specializing in astronomy. My beloved wife and I live in far western North Carolina – one of the most beautiful places in America. We have a small farm business and are active in our church. I enjoy beekeeping, telescoping, and hiking.
