Bank Street College of Education is offering graduate credit for Bank Street College students and alumni who complete the following Seminars on Science courses offered by the American Museum of Natural History (3 credits per successfully completed course). Please note that a student or alum must have previously taken at least one course at Bank Street College in order to qualify for this program.

Registration Instructions

Bank Street only offers graduate credit to current Bank Street students and Alumni. To receive Bank Street graduate credit, you must register at least 2 weeks before the start of your Seminars on Science course.

MATRICULATED STUDENTS

HOW TO REGISTER

  1. Register and pay for the course. The $495 fee is payable to the American Museum of Natural History.
  2. After completing your registration with the American Museum of Natural History, download, print, and follow instructions to complete the form linked below:
  3. Mail or fax your course registration to Bank Street College at least two weeks before the courses begin. Graduate credit is $240 per course, payable to Bank Street College. Send completed registration form to:

  4. To receive graduate credit, you must receive a final assessment of "Approaches Expectations" or above on the Seminars on Science rubric.

COURSE COSTS

AMNH course cost: $495
BSC course cost: $240
(3 graduate credits, $80 each)

Total cost: $735

AMNH one-time registration fee: $25

You must have taken at least one class previously at Bank Street College of Education in order to take AMNH courses for graduate credit.  Registration form and payment must be received by mail or fax to Bank Street College two weeks prior to the course start date.  Once registered, you must follow all registration policies and procedures (specifically, Late Registration, Add/Drop, and Withdrawal from Courses) as outlined in the Bank Street catalog for the catalog year in which you are registered.  You are not permitted to transfer courses to alternate semesters.  Registration will not be granted, nor will grades be issued retroactively for classes taken at AMNH prior to the current semester.

REFUND POLICY

If you are a degree-seeking student at Bank Street College of Education, refunds will be given based upon the institution's written policy.
