The 1996 birth of a cloned sheep named Dolly thrust cloning into the spotlight.
Since then, further achievements of cloned animals have spurred debate on how we should apply
this technology. For example, some people believe cloning endangered species could
boost populations. This though would not save species from extinction. The first video examines the cloning
of a gaur, an endangered Asian ox. The second video explores a different approach to conservation,
studying the biology of endangered Humpback Whales to assist in their continued survival and growth
in nature. |
