Black Widow
A poisonous redback spider (Latrodectus hasselltii) clings to a small piece of wood. This Australian black widow is highly venomous like all members of the genus. The pain of the bite has been described as intense, violent, agonizing, exquisite, excruciating, gripping, cramping, shooting, lancinating, aching, and numbing.
