Known as Margy, she was born and educated in New Jersey and still lives there where she is a weekender at the shore. She has been teaching at Madison High School in Morristown for 24 years as a co teacher in Biology, Chemistry and Physics where she encourages students, especially young women, to pursue careers in science.
She holds a BA in education from the College of St. Elizabeth, a Masters degree (M.ED) in Developmental Disabilities and post graduate work in Learning Disabilities, supervision. Teaching is a second career for Margy- she worked in a hospital as a Respiratory Therapy Technician in the 1970’s where she oversaw patients on life support equipment in the Intensive Care Unit.
In addition to teaching and tutoring Margy is an active competitor at the national level in dressage. She owns two horses and uses one to teach children with disabilities in a program called hippo therapy. Margy and her husband, Chuck, are the proud grandparents of three children and frequently visit them in California.
