Tapas BarStarry Nights: Fridays Under the SphereTAPASPopular and traditional in Spain, tapas are small portions of savory foods served in the early evening before dinner at taverns and bars, always as accompaniments to Spanish sherry or wine. Originally in the Andalucia region of Spain, a tapa was a slice of ham or sausage, placed atop the glass of the sherry to keep the flies out! Today, tapas are served all over Spain and have become popular in cities the world over including, of course, New York. Tapas are informal, meant to be served and eaten casually and quickly, over lively conversation and music (Jazz!). Here at Starry Nights: Fridays Under the Sphere, our Tapas menu offers you some classical renditions of Spain's great tapas repertoire, utilizing indigenous Spanish ingredients and combinations of Serrano ham, Mahon and Manchego cheeses, almonds, shrimp, wild mushrooms and olives. Our menu exemplifies the steadfast appeal and popularity of Tapas. Our beverage menu includes classic house-made Sangria, the Spanish cocktail of choice, which includes red wine, Gran Manier, orange juice and fresh cut fruits. Spanish wines as Cava sparkling wine, Amontillado Sherry and Lar de Barros red wine are complimented with a selection of beers, soft drinks and American wines. TAPAS MENU
