The Young Naturalist Awards program promotes excellence in science and communication.
- Each year students write about an expedition they took, either on a class field trip, in a summer program, in their own backyards, or through the lens
of a telescope.
- Essays must relate to the natural sciences of biology, earth science, or astronomy.
- Essays must include observations, data, and artwork.
- Judges look for sound science and a personal voice.
