Hi, I'm
George Harlow
. I study jade at the American Museum of Natural History. Thousands of years ago, people from opposite sides of the world discovered this rare rock. First, it was used to make tools. Later, it was used for precious objects of art and worship.
What makes jade so special that people have used it for so long, and in so many different ways?
To answer these questions, I travel all over the world to places like Guatemala and Myanmar to study jade.
