One of the things that is so exciting about this exhibition is that it encourages visitors to
think about horses
in a new way.
Today, we tend to think of horses in terms of leisure riding and sports. We don't often think of them as important work machinery, sources of meat and milk, or
essential to warfare. This exhibition helps us understand all the different roles that horses have served through time.
I've had a great opportunity to study the horse over the last 20 years, and this exhibition is a chance for me to share some of the fascinating things that I've learned.
I hope the visitors will be able to walk away with a greater appreciation of the many valuable attributes of the horse and how those attributes have contributed
to the development of human culture and history.
