Did you like science in school? Skills learned in school help Eleanor when she's out in the field.   I was interested in science in school, but it always surprised me when I did well in chemistry, or math because, as a girl, I never assumed I'd do well in those subjects. I didn't mind taking science classes and learning about anatomy and chemistry but I was always more interested in the bigger picture of how animals behaved and how ecosystems worked. I realized as I got older that everything I learned in school provided me with the tools to tackle the big questions like: How can we help the environment?
