As the Pacific Programs Manager, Michael Esbach works to achieve significant conservation gains and improve our understanding of the living diversity throughout the Pacific region. While his current work ranges from researching coastal grizzly bears in British Columbia to managing partnerships in the Solomon Islands, Michael remains committed to bridging his interests with community-based conservation. Prior to joining the CBC, Michael worked with communities, local governments, and companies to create sustainable development programs in Ecuador; researched owls, primates, and the impacts of oil in Equatorial Guinea; and managed community-based conservation efforts in Kenya. Michael holds a degree from the University of Virginia.
