During this monthly party, enjoy drinks and dancing in the Museum’s Rose Center for Earth and Space. Guests can also take a walk up the Cosmic Pathway to the Hayden Big Bang Theater where acclaimed actor Liam Neeson narrates a dynamic flight through the virtual universe based on an accurate cosmic atlas.
Beer and wine will be served at a cash bar. Advance purchase of tickets is recommended to guarantee entry.
Mayer Hawthorne (DJ Set), headliner
Since debuting in 2008, Mayer Hawthorne has released three full-length albums, been nominated for a Grammy, licensed songs for film and television, and toured the world with Bruno Mars, Foster the People, Erykah Badu, Janelle Monáe, and the late Amy Winehouse. His latest album, Where Does This Door Go, features work from Pharrell Williams, Greg Wells, Jack Splash, John Hill, and Warren “Oak” Felder.
The Range, support
James Hinton, known as The Range, is from Providence, Rhode Island, and has been making music since he was thirteen. Hinton produced two albums as Stegosaurus while studying physics at Brown University. In 2010, he began producing music as The Range.
Astro Nautico DJs, opener
Brooklyn-based Astro Nautico was founded by friends and fellow Long Islanders Sam Obey (aka Obey City), Bennett Kuhn, and Paul Baisley (aka Paul Jones). Astro Nautico hosts monthly dance parties and the record label favors vinyl records.

The American Museum of Natural History kicks off One Step Beyond for its tenth season with with Kenny Dope and Eli Escobar. They'll take visitors on a sonic journey though house, hip-hop, funk & soul and the universe on January 6, at the Museum's after-hours dance party. Beer and wine will be served at a cash bar.
